Click here to download a PDF of the registration form (also below) for the Summer Sessions. All the necessary information is on the flier along with a registration and waiver portion. Because the session 1 is SOON, we will need those attendees to bring this form with their payment to the first day of the session, which is next Monday 6/15. Please try to get there by 4 pm so that we can start promptly at 4:30.

For those of you in session 2, you can mail the form and payment to the address on the form. (We're still working on some details for session 3).

Lacrosse at Agoura High School

Members of Agoura Lacrosse,

I am delighted to announce that the Board of Education for the Las Virgenes Unified School District unanimously voted to approve lacrosse as an official CIF sport at Agoura High School for the Spring 2010 season. This is exciting news for all of us. While this creates an immediate opportunity for our current high school players, it also demonstrates to our youth players the ability to play this wonderful sport at Agoura High. You will now have the opportunity to play at Agoura stadium and to earn a varsity letter for lacrosse. This also paves the way to establish a dedicated girl's program at Agoura as the players in this program grow.

As I reported to all of you in attendance at our April 20th parent meeting, we received a tremendous amount of support from the administration at Agoura High. Principal Misel, Asst Principal Resnick and Athletic Director Jason Rosenthal were extremely supportive and deserve a great amount of credit for keeping the interests of our students as the most important element in the process. I also had a great deal of help from a few of our parents, Ziona Friedlander, Chuck Samel and Scott Ring. These individuals did a great job working our our proposal and getting the job done.

Now the task turns to all of us as supportive parents. As we have discussed, the school does not have the resources to cover the cost of the program. As parents, we will need to shoulder the financial responsibility of the program. Many of you have already made a pledge of support and we are appreciative of your commitment. Now is the time to fund those commitments. We have 30 days to deposit a sufficient amount of money to fund the program for a year. Thus, please do not delay in your support.

For those of you who were not able to attend the parent meeting on April 20th, I have attached the letter we distributed at the meeting outlining our Charter Member program. (Click here to download a PDF of this letter)

Thank you for all your help and support of our student athletes, now and in the future.

Respectfully,

Michael Tusing
President
Agoura Lacrosse Association
